Fresh bakes, sweet delights, and the coffee that's always on. Becky Hartwell's corner of town.

Come In, the Ovens Are Warm

If Whiskey Pines has a heart, it beats somewhere between the cinnamon rolls and the front window. Becky Hartwell has been feeding this town longer than anyone will admit to being alive, and the Crumb Cottage is where half the gossip, and a fair number of the clues, get passed across the counter with the change.

Roxie takes her coffee here most mornings, usually with Kenzie tucked in a tote bag pretending to be a loaf of bread. Kenzie has opinions about the pastry rotation. Becky pretends not to hear them, which is the only reasonable response.

Recipes from the Cottage

The bakes you read about in the books are real, or real enough to make at home. Becky's seasonal recipes go out in the Whiskey Pines Journal and land in the Residents' Tool Closet, from the apple cider doughnuts Roxie reheats for breakfast to the shortbread that shows up at every funeral in town, and there are a lot of funerals in town.
